I'm having installation problems with the latest update, which caused my Second Life main program to crash. I'm running the Release Candidate for now, but i can no longer seem to install the main SL program. I've had an account for almost a year now, but when I run the update installation I get this message
Error opening file for writing
C:\Program Files\SecondLife\app_settings\mozilla\components\xulutil.dll
And about 40 other similar messages for various files it can't read.
This happened a few weeks ago, so I didn't update, but with the new release I decided to try again and just Ignore the errors. Now SL crashes before it even loads. I uninstalled SL and tried again, only to get the error message with all my updates that I've saved, even back from New Year's day.
I have no idea what's going on, and the sooner I can get SL back up and working again, the better. Please help, anybody.
