Here lately I have been getting numerous random teleport invitations. They are coming in from people on my friends list with no warning or explanation as to their purpose. After about the third one of these from a person, I have been removing those "friends" from my friends list. None of these have been from close friends, just acquaintances. But one person got upset with me when I explained that I thought it was rude of him to do that so I removed him.

What would you do about this? And why do people do it?

?

1. The same as you
2. They are probably trying to get numbers into a sim, either to sell you something, or for a party, or maybe even because they like you and would like to see you.

Pep (but are too lazy to explain why)

I have noticed that some Hosts/Event planners/dancers/etc... like to have large friend lists. Usually there is an event going on and they need people to populate the event. This is one method that is used. I'm not suggesting that is the reason you got it but for me, that is what happened in the past. I have accepted the TP in the past and usually get a nice greeting of "Thank-you, it has been a long time since we hung out together". Of which I never talk with them as they are busy with the event.

I usually wait a respectable period of time and then remove them from my list. Most never notice that I'm gone as I assume there friends list is huge. When I do get a response about why they were removed, I explain that I was just doing some clean up and they got removed by accident and re-added. The cycle continues again ;)

I would do the same thing you did. I recently received a friend request from someone at a group meeting and as we were both a part of the same group and discussion, I thought, what the hell. This person never talks to me in IM or anything just sends me TP request to his DJ gigs all the time. I decline and a few minutes later another one pops up. It's flat out rude and annoying. He will be deleted.........
