Can someone please help me. I received a teledash from someone and dont have a clue how to use it. lol

Can anyone help?

From inventory, right click and choose properties.
Find the creator's name.
That is the person to ask.

I don't have a clue what a teledash is, but i would be willing to bet that the creator has instructions and help listed in their picks.

Usually they're activated by tapping the "forward" key twice in quick succession.

Usually, "I recieved (item name) from someone and don't know how to use it" translates to "I'm just one mouseclick away from griefing myself, losing all my L$ and causing a ton of trouble for myself and others. Should I click the big red button?"

If someone you don't know gives you something and you don't know what it is, DELETE IT. 99% of the time, it's trouble. Rezzing or using an unknown scripted item is like putting a gun in your mouth and pulling the trigger to see if it is loaded or not.

If someone you know appears to have given you something without explanation or being asked to do so, then ask them to confirm that they gave it to you, why, and what it is for.

The name you cite is a speed booster, and it is NOT a free item. Inexpensive, but not free. But anyone could apply that name to ANYTHING, so I wouldn't trust it. The legitimate "teledash" item is sold at Abranimations and Friends. You wear it, and your movement speed is boosted automatically.

By the way, tapping the forward key twice rapidly will make you run forward with no attachments needed. It's an un-asked-for feature of the Release candidate client.

AFAIK, when you double tap using a teledasher, you should actually teleport forward a short distance (thus "tele"

, potentially going through a wall.

I do know that many different people have made them, and it is not that complex a script, so quite a few scripters are reproducing it as part of learning (although I don't know if they're selling the results)

The Teledash I know of and own was made by Balsamic Prunes and sold on slexchange. You press page down and it will dash based on the distance the camera is from your avatar. This product has been on sale since 2006.
