Selling Items

Ok. Newbie here.

I have created some t-shirts for SL. I know how to get upload them.
Can anyone explain( or idrect me to a simple tutorial) how to make a box to put them in and be able to sell them without selling off the only copy of the box they are in.

You know like how you can go into a shop and click on a box, buy it, and open it later for the contents or just take the contents from it in shop.

I really want to get into creating and selling things in SL.

Create the box. Make it the size you want, and put a picture (texture) of you wearing the t-shirt on the side of the box so that people can see what's in it. Edit the box, go to the Contents tab, and drag your t-shirt from the inventory to the Contents. Be sure to check the permissions re: mod/copy/transfer on the t-shirt itself. Back in the General tab of the box, mark the box for sale for X L$, then mark the "contents" button. Easy peasy!

Simply put: build a box, right-click and ëdit it, drag your t-shirt onto the contents tab of the edit menu, set for sale on the main edit tab, choose to sell "contents", choose your sales pice and presto. Make sure you set the permissions correctly.
You could choose to put a pretty picture on the box, might help

As a more basic suggestion you could check out various classes available on building, business etc. in SL. You can find these in "search", "events", "education"
For "how to' info on building you could also check out the Ivory Tower of Prims inworld and the Building Tips forum a bit further down the forum list.

It is not that hard as anything you create is full permissions in sl, so if you sell or give it away you still have it, the secret is to sell or give it away after you change the permissions for the next owner down so it dosnt become a freebie for the next owner.

go someplace you can create objects, create a box, put your tshirt in the box and set the box for sale (sell a copy) in its properties. make sure you have a nice box or texture for it.
