I just went premium, and due to personal RL restrictions which are not worth going into, will not be buying land for myself. Thankfully I have somewhere to live inworld anyway.

So, now I have the 512 plot available to me if I choose buy one, to make use of it. What can I do with this exactly? I know it can be donated but how does this work. I assume I could donate it to the person I'm living with to increase his land. He has a group, so this would work, right?

Or, am I better just buying a small plot for myself anyway and putting a teensy weensy 1 room shack on it? Maybe the art studio I always dreamed of on some hillside?

/me is confused by what the right thing to do with this miniscule little piece of property I could possibly own.

You can donate your tier allowance of 512 to a group you belong to. This just means that the group owner can then buy an extra 512 m2 of land for the group without paying extra tier.

Or you can buy land for the group and add that to the group land. If the group already has land, it would be better if you could buy land that you can join, although that's entirely necessary. If the group wnats the extra prims, it does have to be on the same sim.

You do understand that you don't have an actual plot available to you? What you have is the ability to purchase a 512m plot, without an increase your monthly premium rate :)

Edit: There are also some very nice houses out there, low prim, that look very nice on a 512. You can IM me if you want to see one later tonight. I bought it, it's not transferrable or I'd just give it to you, but I can rez it on my land to show you.

You are entitled to own 512 without incurring additional monthly fees. You could donate that tier to his group, and increase the amount of land that the group can own. But this is a question only you can answer. It just depends what you want to do.

That helps. Yes, I know I still have to purchase the land.
Donating it to the existing group I belong to is making the most sense. My BF is currently adding land to one of his homes, and his "family" is the group, to which I belong. He needs the extra prims very badly, so helping out would be something I'd like to do if possible. He's given me a lovely home(s), so it only seemed fair to me.

When your inworld, join the group, sl land answers unlimited, once you join you will see who's online and you can get quick answers.

I'm not sure but after getting all your questions answered, quit group so you won't get land questions.......................I think???????????

Honeybear, thanks for that offer! I can't get in tonight, but I'm available most of tomorrow. How's your schedule then? I would like to take a look, just for the heck of it. I actually have a few homes in my inventory which I have not looked at, some might be ok on a small plot, I don't know. I guess I'd like to see what a small lot looks like, regardless.

This is a perfectly good solution. With your contribution, he can (theoretically) buy 563 square meters of land without incurring extra fees - very useful if he's already maxed out his tier. If all his land is group owned, that would be the ideal situation, allowing him to own the most amount of land and take advantage of the group bonus.

Yes, I think it would be too. He just bought another 1000+ sq. meters the other day, adding another 500+ would be very helpful for him. He's adding a garden area to the house, pool, etc. Prims badly needed since he using a lot of plantings, etc. I (actually it's my alt) spends a huge chunk of time with him at this house, so adding more space is a serious consideration.
