Premium to basic... first land?

So if I decide at the end of this year that I no longer want to be a premium account... do I have to give up my first land parcel that I got all that time ago? I sort of use it as my home, if I DO have to give it up... well... what happens to it?

What happens to it if I don't take any action?

I would like to keep my little free parcel of land, but I won't be using SL nearly as much as I did in the past, so there's not a lot of sense in me paying $70 or however much it is for something I won't really be using that much...

Basic accounts are not allowed mainland land. If it is found that you have it, it will be siezed,

Yes, you'll have to give it up...only Premium members can own land. You can either abandon it, in which case LL takes possession, or sell it before your membership ends. If you do nothing, LL will reclaim it.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

The best thing to do is sell it before you give up your premium account. NEVER abandon land. You could sell a 512 in minutes tonight for L$3350, more if you are willing to wait a while before it sells. By the end of the year you should be able to get a little more for it.

After you give up your land, you can always rent. Rentals don't require premium memberships.

Well that sucks.

My desire to want to preserve things will win out in this one, I guess I'll go premium again.

If you joined in Jan. 2006, your weekly stipend is L$500, correct? So renew for a year...the stipend will cover that cost by the end of the next year. You will actually make a few bucks...

Unless you are a hair/shoe addict like most of us. Then.. it barely covers that addiction ;)

Go on.... sign up for another year 'premium'! A year's membership is only about the same as you'd pay for a subscription to a glossy magazine or the price of one or two PS3 games.

If you want to keep your land, I think it's worth paying LL the cash for what they provide, even with its annoying foibles!

I took care of that problem...all foibles are banned from my land. Freaky lil critters.
