Downloading the new version of SL

Is anyone else with a PC having trouble with this? My PC, which runs Windows XP, won't let me install the new version of SL, either from the login page or this website. I keep getting an error that says it isn't a valid Win32 application. I tried submitting a ticket here, but who knows if they'll ever get to it.

Does anyone have any suggestions, other than rebooting my computer?

I have a suggestion: Don't install the update.

(I'm not being sarcastic. You don't need the update, especially if you were already running the Release Candidate).
