I know I saw a topic about this here not long ago, but I can't find it again, so appologies for the repeat. I just bought myself an outfit that came in a box, and now SL is refusing to rez it. Is there any way to fix this? Does anyone know why this happens?

Hi Berith, could you provide some more information just so we can eliminate the obvious possibilities. For example, are you trying to rez on land you own, or where you have build permissions? Can you rez anything else there? (If so, create a plywood cube and try rezzing the box on that.)

Around the time Berith posted this I was trying to rez a structure I built myself on my own land. It failed, failed again and failed a third time.
30 minutes ago I came back to my land and found three copies of my structure all rezzed in nearly the same location. It seems like rezzing was working after all, only it took about an hour to rez an 8-prim object...

So maybe if you go back to the place where you tried it, you may find your object after all.

Good point, WH. I had the same problem during the bad week (a week or two ago?). I was trying to shift-drag a bubbler to make a copy, and it kept not working even though it is copyable. I finally gave up, and when I went back later that day my water looked like a jacuzzi with about 15-20 bubblers!

Berith, these kinds of problems are often sim-specific, so trying it in another sim might help. If you need a place to rez something small to vehicle-sized, please feel free to use my Nautilus Harbor Public Boat Launch, in the SW (0,0) corner of Salerio region. You can try rezzing on the floating dock itself, on the water, or down on the seafloor. (Auto-return is set around 15 minutes, I think, so be sure to pick stuff up before then lest it end up in your Lost & Found folder).

And of course feel free to enjoy boating while you're there. I have some freebie boats in a box on the dock if you need one. :)

I had a rez problem yesterday: Just one prim, drop it out, get a Failed to rez dialog.
Answer: WEAR the item, just choose wear. Then right click and choose drop. There it is right in front of you.
This worked very well and fast. I would even try it with a whole house.

My rezzing problem was solved almost the same way. My outfit was right on the ground after my third restart.
