I screwed up and put a sea gull sound in my house. There is no object I can find to delete, modify or turn off the sea gulls. I look in my inventory and there is nothing there.
Suggestions on how I can find and turn off / shoot these darn sea gulls from my house?

If you haven't already, try hitting ALT /CTRL/T together to make invisible objects appear in red. The sound may be coming from one of those. If not that, it may be a script embedded in one of the house prims. It can be fixed by a free scrubbing script, but I doubt I have the writing skills to explain how.

I wont mention I have a real seagull for a kinda pet. If you think they're noisy in sl you should hear them when they squark down the chimney at you to be fed. But I did mention it. Sorry!

If you need a scrubber script there is one at my store (for free) just search Rha! or search me in world, or use the link in my signature here on the forums. Also do as suggested above, to look for the possible tiny invisible prim If you need assistance, just give me a shout, I will come help you find it

View: Beacons.
Choose the Sound option.

Thanks Rhaorth for your help. For some reason even the CTRL ALT T wouldn't show the items for me.

I needed to turn off a script that I couldn't see or edit and found the greatest tool in my viewer, GreenLife Emerald—it's probably in other viewers as well.
Another limitation: I think you need to "own" the entire region.
World > Region/Estate... > Debug (tab) > Get Top Scripts...
You'll get a dialog box that lists the scripts currently running. If you want you can activate a Beacon to find it, or just click Return Selected (after selecting it).

You'll get a dialog box that lists the scripts currently running. If you want you can activate a Beacon to find it, or just click Return Selected (after selecting it). You are refering to the Estate Tools. Those are standard tools for Sim owners and Estate Managers. You do not necesairly need to "own" the region, being an Estate Manager is good enough. 95% of all things in the Estate Tools, Including "get top scripts" are available to Estate Managers as well. However, you cannot get those tools on mainland. What the item you dragged from Inventory a sound? or an object? A sound: a little speaker icon in front of it. If this is the case, you cannot drop it on the ground, only into an object. When you rightclick your house and look at the content tab of the edit menu, you do not necesairly see all things that are inside that house. You only see what is in the Content of the root prim. You can examin every prim, by checking the "edit linked parts" and click on every single prim, to check them one by one, But that is where you are way better off visiting Rhaorth's shop to get that scrubber. It will take care of every script and object in there. Warning however: Such a scrubber can also kill doors and other scripted options in the house if they are linked to the same set.

I helped him in world, it was a rezzed transparent sphere, that for some reason he was not able to see when turning on show transparent (ctrl alt T)
All is taken care of now... but the info put out here in this thread is very helpful to anyone with a similar situation

All very good tips that have been bookmarked for future screw ups by myself.
