When I want to upload a picture file to SL, the default viewer from which to choose my file is the Windows file viewer. This viewer does not show TGA file pictures. Is there any way to change the default viewer for uploading SL pics, or is there anyway to change Windows so that it can view .tga? I can easily see preview pics of jpg.

Don't know how to mess with the default viewer but paint.net is pretty friendly..

Download for free at http://www.getpaint.net/

edit: Gimp is also pretty popular, and more powerful, but, IMO, not as easy to use. Also free at http://www.gimp.org/

Unsure what you mean. I can both preview and upload .tga into SL on my good old Windows XP system.

Take a look at this thread and the link from post 3.

/109/db/302261/1.html

If I understand you right you want to be able to view the file as a picture prior to your upload rather than just seeing the PSD or TGA default picture/thumbplug in the preview window. (very useful for bulk uploads)

I am able to view my thumbplugs prior to upload but I used a different method and cannot for the life of me remember how I did it but I know if you follow the links in that post you will find the answer.
