Name List

I would like to create a certain name for SL. I know there is a place to find names available and to join from there, because I have done that is the past. I can't find my reference and tried to join this morning. I think I joined the website but was not registered in SL. Please guide me in the right direction. Thanks Becca

Log out of the SL website then open it again, you will get the start a new account option. Typing different first names brings up different SL names, you can just keep rotating these names until the option you want comes up, however, sometimes the option you want never comes up with the first name you want to use.

Damion I did that this morning, went to slnamewatch. But when I clicked on the server where the name was I didn't register in SL. I registered something but not in SL.

This is not an Alt. This is for a good friend who has finally decided he wants to be in SL. I am just going to register the name for him and then he will change important information himself, ie. his password. I sure don't want that information. This would be a special name that connects to what he does in RL.

This isn't the greatest idea. Account information should NOT be shared, with anyone. To set up an account, you need some pretty important personal information. I recommend that you give your friend the slnamewatch URL and let him start his own account.

This. Why can't he just register for himself? Doing this, and announcing it here can get YOU in trouble with the Lindens.

I really don't think LL is going to come after me for knowing one of my best friend's birth date, his email address and what country he lives in. The reason I set it up for him is that he doesn't have the patience to go through the list until he can get the name he wants. He doesn't walk, have verbal speech or eat by mouth. It's done and he has it in his email. He can take it from there. Sometimes you guys critize when you don't know the whole story.
