So many scripted objects are surrounded by ugly red boxes. Is there a way to turn this off so I don't have to see them?

Do you have show transparencies checked?

I don't see where that option is available.

ctrl-alt-t should clear it, if you've got transparencies turned on.

Or control + option + t if I'm on a iMac.

All that did was produce MORE red effects.

The boxes I'm referring to seem to be found around scripted items (though not all).
I've seen them around trees, ocean waves that can be surfed, etc.

I'm in a store, looking at a cute little black shoulder kitty that I'd like to buy, except it has a little semi-transparent box all around it's midsection.

A robot minding the store has a big red box surrounding the lower half of her legs.

These don't turn off when I do a control + option + t.

Look at your view menu.

If Beacons Always On has an X in front of it, click it to make the X go away.

Then look at Beacons, make the x in front of everything go away.

Render Highlight in the Beacon sub-menu is what makes the boxes indicating scripted items or particled items appear.

There is information on how to use the interface in the Knowledge Base.

You might want to take some classes on the basics at NCI.

Like most people I prefer to just dive in and worry about how deep the water is later.

Kinda like real life.

Thanks for the help.
