Anyone else having troubles to receive refunds from LL for void sims given back?

Blog announcement, Jack Linden: "If you purchased Openspaces from us in the last 60 days, and are unhappy at having had to buy a set of four, please contact the Concierge team who can arrange partial refunds in exchange for taking back those Openspaces that you do not require. This only applies for those that purchased their set of Openspaces on or after 7th January 2008"

I bought my open spaces on 02/17/08 and was very happy to be able to give back 2 Openspaces.

It is been 3 months ago since Linden Lab, concierge, took 2 of my openspaces back, but till today I have not received a refund. My submitted support ticket states "work in progress" but no one has answered me to tell me:

a) how much is "partial refund"?
b) why is it taking 3 months?
c) when can I expect to hear from Linden Lab and receive my refund?

Is there anyone else having this trouble too? I would like to hear what has happened and if there is someone who has already received a refund

Many thanks in advance for reading and hopefully answering :-)

When I requested a refund for an island I purchased, it was taken care of within 24 hours.

Oddly enough, it was a partial refund in SL credit and most of it went back onto my credit card. I received 100% back which was surprising.

Yup. They took my sim and then I actually received a message from a linden saying they had made a mistake and there was not going to be a refund.

Yes that's right, they took my sim and after taking it told me that I wouldn't get a refund.

As you can imagine, I was furious. I had to spend a lot of time in chats and on the phone with a bunch of apathetic-seeming folk who said "sorry, can't help", before finally I got ahold of Spike Linden and my refund was given within minutes.

I recommend that you talk to Spike ASAP. I also sent an email to M. regarding my experience and how because of it I will not be spending more money with LL, but I got no response whatsoever. LL does not appear to care about their customers.

By the way I hope you have something in writing, which I did and which finally helped me get my money back.

For them to take your product and not give you a promised refund is illegal BTW under US laws.

thanks so much for reacting to my questions, I appreciate the information

@Xplorer Cannoli.. I wish I were so lucky :-)

@Snowflake Fairymeadow, a few questions.
1) How much refund did you receive for the openspace sim?
2) what do you mean with "to have something in written"?

I talked to Spike Linden about 1 month ago and he promised to care of this matter and to care that it is not forgotten, but as I said, till now, no refund received

I live in Germany so calling often to San Fco would be more expensive than the costs of the 4 void sims, but I did called once and they told me that I would receive a refund, not going to take longer than 2 weeks, that was about 2 months ago

1. I eventually received a full refund of $415 US for the one openspace I returned

2. save all emails, live chats and other communications where you were told you could have a refund, and also document when your sims disappeared off the grid.

I would ask again for your refund through concierge live chat. Explain nicely to them that they have your money, and you have no product, and therefore you would like your money back as you did not agree to loan them your money for 3 months, and it is making you unhappy.
