I just posted a question in Animation Tips.....but I thought I'd ask this here as it is more general....
When I first got on SL I had met a guy who had an animation tool that allowed him to actually 'create' animations on his AV in-world. He said it was something he wore that allowed him to manipulate his Avitar to make his own poses. It was not an AO.... I've long since lost touch with the guy....but now that I'm a bit more SL savy...I'm curious as to what this item may have been. Anyone know?

This one does poses, but I don't think it does full animations:

Ava, do you mean I can do something like click and drag parts of my avatar and make my own poses with these tools?

I haven't seen either of these inworld... I'm just considering them for when I start making modeling poses for my alt. I suggest looking them up on SLX to get more complete info. If I understand correctly, it appears both work by having you connected to a mannequin. As you adjust the mannequin, it shows on your avatar. When you are done, it gives you something (I think text in chat or IM) that you save to your hard drive as a BVH file, which can then either be edited in an animation program or directly imported into SL as an animation. ... but that is just my understanding. I haven't looked at them too closely yet. ETA: I should also mention that they are extremely expensive.
