Bought something at a store, paid for it but didn't receive it.

This has been happening a lot lately (buggy SL), so be kind to the owner. ;)

Try the transaction history page @ https://secure-web4.secondlife.com/account/transactions.php

Edit: Just noticed from forum join date that you might be a new user so...

1) On the transaction history page, you should find the name of the person to whom you paid money.
2) Click Search button in SL, then hit the 'people' tab, search for that person then send them an IM. :)

Jadon,

FIRST and foremost, be sure that you are not set to BUSY when you shop. All items sent to you will be refused. I'm pretty sure this goes for "mute" too; if you have accidentally muted the store owner, anything sent by them will be rejected.

SECOND, to find the store owner, you can go to the shop and when you're there, go to world/about land. Unless the shop is in a mall, the owner of the shop will be listed as the owner of the land, usually. Click on 'info' or 'profile' (I'm not inworld right now) to pull up that person's profile.

If the person's shop is in a mall, you can always right-click and 'edit' an object in the shop; this will tell you the owner of the object; you can then click the 'info' button to get to that person's profile.

But please please double check to make sure that you aren't set to busy, and that you have NOT muted the shop owner.

If you bought the item today it's no surprised, SL is seriously borked.

Just wanted you to be aware that there is no guarantee the owner will refund or replace the item for you. It rarely has happened to me, if ever. Pretty much every store owner I've dealt with regarding this type of situation has been extremely courteous and worked out an agreement. But just wanted you to be aware there are some out there who can be jerks and they are under no obligation to assist you.

If it happens just chalk it up to a learning experience.

Yes, I found it on the transaction history page. I did send an IM to the store owner but they are currently offline.
