I just built a little bit of tropical paradise for people to meet, chill out and enjoy. My girlfriend and I want to set up some kind of official donation system for cancer research there - as well as provide information and help. Try as I might, I can't find out where to get Relay for Life donation boxes/kiosks/vendors... anyone out there know where I could get one?

I got mine as a handout being on one of the SLRFL teams. As far as I know the fundraiser is over. However, you may still be able to get a donation box and put it up... I`m not sure.

This years Relay for Life has finished so the boxes are no-long available. If you wish to make a donation then probably the best option is via the Cancer Charity website. Equally there is no reason ( I can think of ) not to put up a poster reminding people about the fight against cancer with a notecard and relevant websites in.

I help The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) within SL, if you IM me I can come and place one of there donation wishing well's on your land?

Or if you would prefer RFL check out the owner of one of their donation points and contact them.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still really shocked that the RFL donations kiosk aren't widely available, and that you have to go through so much trouble to get one. Something just isn't right about that... I mean, at the very least there should be a place to pick up a free copy of a donations box, or vendor....

Ahh well, there's probably some weird reason behind it that i can't figure out... :/

As I said, with RFL finished the donation boxes are no-longer available.

When the RFL was active they where easy to get hold of but as the event is over they are no-longer available ( in fact they derez when rezzed now).

Relay for Life Donation Boxes

You can contact RC Mars who is a official representive for the American Cancer Society(ACS) in SL. He is also an active member of ACS in RL. Fayandria Foley is the SL head of Relay for Life'08 and has a desk at the ACS Island Sim. The offices are over to the right and behind the Welcome Center/Auditorium building. The Relay kiosks may be gone, but there may well be way to have a sanctioned donation box in the meantime. I hope that helps you.
