combining the issue where the client doesn't load the full inventory with regular inventory borkage server-side, I've been feeling quite depressed in relation to working on things in SL. Not being able to trust that I'll still have access to my work next time I log in is quite demotivating :(

First they came for the ageplayers,
I remained silent 'cause I wasn't an ageplayer

Then they came for the furries,
I didn't protest 'cause I wasn't a furry

Then they came for the goreans,
I didn't speak up because I wasn't gorean

Then they came for me,
and there wasn't anyone left to speak up for me

giving that a try now, but I doubt it will make any significant difference in my situation....

Thanks for that, Ann. Good stuff there: it had never occurred to me to log in to the Beta Grid after installing the new viewer.

Given that you're a month older than I am, dare I ask [voice drops to a whisper] just how much you have in your inventory? I was up to 17k, which isn't bad for a three-year-old, but I've been ruthless (well we're all Ruthless now we have the smoking avie :p ) and got it down to just over 10k. I've noticed it loads much more quickly.

31k+ counting the items █████ Linden (are we allowed to name Lindens in the forum?) wipped from my inventory without asking me first because she didn't believe me when I said the bug with the client not finishing loading the inventory existed ( http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15563 )

I don't know if it's my Windows XP configuration or what, but I think the KB article on clearing your cache from outside SL is seriously misleading.

Certainly on my PC, all the cache files that need clearing are not, as the KB article would have it, at C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\SecondLife\cache.

Instead, they are to be found at C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Local Settings\Application Data\SecondLife.

Deleting stuff from the former has never helped me recover inventory. In contrast, deleting the whole SecondLife folder from the later always works.
