I saw Ruth a couple of times yesterday. I thought she retired. It was actually kind of nice seeing her, instead of clouds. And double TPs seem to be back. I'm on the 1.20.15 client and have been since it was released. No changes. So why is this suddenly showing up? Anyone else?

It seems to me as if this current Main Client release gets flaker each week, tps are a nightmare for me now, typed chat stops showing up from time to time forcing a relog and the weirdest one of all is that my client has now started randomly switching from Window mode to Full screen mode and when I try to switch back it crashes me. Fun times in SL!
Handy,

Is this the main viewer or the RC?
I haven't noticed issues with the main viewer, but some on the RC.. well, the version before. I just got the new one downloaded.

Is it the viewer at all? The asset server has been bonkers the past week, we're nearing 70k online, and we're in a mish-mash of sim servers. It seems like I get the "Running a different server" message on every other teleport. I have seen one Ruth. And rezzing has been a bloody mess. Though... rezzing a bloody mess from my exploding avatar HUD works just fine. (^_^)
Meh... Ride it out. We'll probably see another rolling update very soon. (^_^)y

Handy, Welcome to Second Life. Actually most of your complaints are server side issues and we are currently going through a major server side software update. Bugs and issues are going to happen. SL is worse now than normal but even so, it is much better than it has been before. The weekend loads typically exacerbate the problems but then, they are working on those problems -- thus the big updates we are going through. It's a vicious cycle, I know, but jsut think of it as growing pains. SL is usually better once the updates and fixes are done. While some problems are typical, the amount we are seeing now is not. It will get better.

I saw Ruth yesterday, too Yesterday was just hideous with lag, failed TPs and prims that won't attach. I finally logged off bald, with one shoe on and still missing my skirt. Worst of all, however, is that after a complete removal of the old browser (including the temp files) and installation of the new regular viewer, I am AGAIN missing the "recent items" functionality. Since I did a complete new install of a new viewer, I can only imagine this problem to be server-side.

SL has been absolutely horrid since last Thursday evening. I haven't seen the Grid Status page show that much outage activity and for such long periods in at least a few months. I always still see Ruth cuz I still use an older viewer - I like her. Brann - Did you clear the windows registry when you uninstalled? If not, maybe try that next.
