I'm currently using a family member's machine (due to leaving my laptop power cord at work :: facepalm :: ) and they play Vanguard and WoW so I cannot overhaul the entire system.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this:

Stats:
1024 x 768
32 bits of color
refresh at 60 Hz
have set SL to automatically use my graphics card

What can I change to make my experience better? I know there has to be something because other people can play with the nVidia 7300 graphics card.

Have you downloaded the latest driver for you card from Nvidia?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling SL? (regular latest viewer)

Have you tried changing the resolution settings on the video card to a much higher resolution? That resolution you are using is low for that video card.

Don't fix it. Print it out, title it "Jackson Pollock On SL", and sell it.

Yep.

Yep. It does this on the regular viewer, Windlight, and Dazzle. It also does this with the OnRez viewer.

Yep. It only gets worse. I get more strange pixely things.

Thanks for trying, though. I really appreciate that someone is trying to help :)

I'm replying to my own thread.

Found an old ATI driver lying around the computer that some little brother of mine forgot to uninstall when he upgraded his video card. Uninstalled it and the 3 programs that came with it. Rebooted. All fixed.

Enjoy the pretty picture.

Future residents who find this thread through a forum search: ATI + nVidia drivers on the same machine = art.

BTW, I had this exact problem with a GeforceFX 5200(32MB VRAM) in a laptop and I followed the instructions in this thread which solved the issue for me.
