I know a lot of this is going to be a guess with the new search, but for now I think most people are still using the old search anyway.

When I'm listing keywords, is it necessary to put both a singular and a plural name on an object? For example, do I need to list chair and chairs or will chair be enough? I know with most systems chair would be, but we aren't talking about most systms. :p

The old search will do partial word matches and should get you what you need with just the plural, but it has no intelligence at all when it comes to phrases. Google software attempts word stemming that usually works pretty well, but sometimes you get more consistent results if you go ahead and list out the variations.

i do not think the old search does partial word matches.

i tested it one time with 'glow sticks' and it did not show up when you searched 'glow stick'

not sure about the new one

but on the old one you would need 'glowstick' 'glow stick' 'glow sticks' 'glowsticks' to get them all to return in the results

That's what I was afraid of. I'm hoping that's not true in the future. We'll see.

Right, partial matching doesn't work on phrases, only single words. Try a classified tab search on tent and you will get references to tents and intentions and tentacles and more
