You know when you are putting a item up for sale on XStreetSL there is a box to paste your SURL in. Well that's fine and works a treat.

I also noticed that some people put a hotlink to the place in the actual listing/product info area and I sussed out how what was done with the (off the top of my head text)

and that works, and I get my link on screen as a hyperlink in my listing.

However, I've also seen that you can replace the hyperlink text with a different word. Like on a web page, the custom word become the hyperlink.

Probably explained that badly :)

but say I wanted a hyperlink in my listing that says "Piggies" and when they click on this word it brings up the SURL hyperlink/window

I'm just wondering what the code is to make this work?

Thanks.

Sorry for the bad explanation :)

Piggie,

I am no techie but it uses BB code to display the correct formats.

an example below.

visit my place, click this link

This displays the text in the listing as;
'Visit my place, click this link'
without displaying the URL itself.

As I say I am no techie but I write all my add listings using Fass from Pawsoft, a free Forum Posting editor so I can view and write them without being online.

I would recommend it to anyone placing listings to enhance the appearrance as you can change the overall text appearance and make certains things stand out where necessary.

Many thanks to both of you.

It was the bit at the end I did not know (that overlayed the actual hyperlink with your custom word)

Cheers :)
