teleport home (ctrl+alt+H)
this should put you with both feet ON the ground after  encounterd this problem mainly when logging off/crashing while seated and logging back in after, feet in the ground and for me teleporting home allways fixed it (regular teleport some times) |

Lots of times just hitting the "page up" key (fly) then "page down" again fixes it too.

Sometimes my whole avi sinks into a soft spot. At least it's only your feet. There are just soft places. I'm not sure why. Iyoba fell through a bridge a few days ago. That was very embarassing and inconvenient.

Now that sounds like you were crossing a sim border too fast. You don't have to go fast - the pot holes at the sim borders catch me out every time. /me mutters... there really ought to be warning signs! _____________________

I have the same problem...tried everything and still not helping. it looks like my feet are buried in the sand lol, but its not fun when wearing pretty shoes.
I'll be keeping an eye out to see if you solve it though, its something thats been annoying me too. _____________________
