Hi there, I'm looking for some suggestions on good areas for large companies to incubate their initial second life presences in. I found Silicon Island, which looks fairly well planned, but I'm looking for a couple others as well for comparison. Something that has a consistent look and feel, and has some form of planning in place to ensure there won't be any random, unprofessional structures close by. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, L

Generally large companies just buy their own sims.

Lee, Click on the Map button on the lower right hand of your screen. Right next to the "search" button on the map, type in the name of the region, and click the "search" button. That will instantly show you the region, and you can then click the "teleport" button to get there.

What is Sandbox Cordova? IBM has a sandbox that doesn't seem too bad.
So nobody knows of any other areas like Silicon Island? On that particular island the owners build all of the building exteriors for you (not modifiable either) or give you a canned office. You can build the inside yourself, or consult them to do it for you. This ensures a consistent look and feel throughout the island. There is small canned offices for very decent prices starting off (18 USD per month), and larger canned ones as well, with prices increasing with size.
This would be a preferable way to jump into SL than to purchase an island outright starting off. I just want to know what competitors there is to Silicon Island, so I can do some price comparisons.
