I purchased my first item on x street 3 days ago,i still have'nt received it,on my x street profile i get this message
[Funds Held] Hold for manual review of USD purchase of Item ID 1072786 "Prim Skirts and Belts + Skirt Textures - FULL PERMS / + Tutorial" by Nikita Jefferson. (expires 2038-01-01 00:00:00)
I guess i'm used to buying things in world and receiving them right away,if this is the way x street works i doubt i will be buying off there again.
I would hate buying several items and have to keep checking to see when and if i get them.

Sounds like you made a USD purchase for an item, and a first time USD use on XStreet period. XStreet tends to hold the funds while they verify the payment form use, withdraw the funds and then send the item. And this process takes longer than a normal L$ purchase. Since it occurred during a holiday weekend in the US, it might take a bit longer. I'd say if you don't get the item by Tuesday, you might want to open a support ticket.

Thanks for the info but one would think that if the payment goes through paypal ok and they are paid they would have a system where that is recognized.
Any place else i use with paypal sends the bought items right away.
Their system should recognize a payment and send it,oh well not much i can do except wait but it does'nt leave me with the feeling i want to buy on x street in the future, seems to be too much red tape.
I'll stick to buying in world at least i get what i buy right away

I think you could put Linden dollars in your xStreet account, and then buy instantly on xStreet paying with Linden dollars.

hi nikita,

were you logged into SL with the same avatar as the one you were making the Xstreet purchase through? i don't believe items get delivered to the av unless you are online at the time you make the purchase. i've made purchases both in USD and in L$ and never had that kind of message come up, but then again, my first USD was before SL took over Xstreet.

also, the longest delay i've ever had for a purchase was no more than 2 minutes.

dun let that one experience deter u from usin it in tha future Nikita.

xstreet is usually instant, specially if u use funds deposited directly into ur xstreet account. i use it all tha time an it's never let me down.

No, Items are sent nearly immediately. Arriving of course is delayed until you log the AV on.

I've never bothered with USD purchaces tho.

It does appear that the first transaction on XStreet via PayPal is held before going through. Recently I had a new customer have problems with a purchase this way, it did go through but took a couple of days and in the meantime they purchased again using transfer from their SL account. I was the one who contacted XStreet to help the customer get their refund and had it explained what happened.

Once you have purchased via PayPal, future transactions should go through fine. I must say I have never used this method as transfer lindens over to purchase.

It will, but you might still get non delivered items, today I bought a friend a dress and she has not got it, so I drafted an email to creator.. I'm confident she will get it when the person reads her mail.

So this may happen sometime in the future for you, dont freak out right away... but remember to include transaction information in emails you send creators if it does happen. It helps them to find you quicker....

Also keep in mind, if the transaction is pending, then the creator has not been paid for the item. Check your purchase history to make sure it's not pending or failed before contacting the merchant. (For first time users, or potential first time users, XStreet holds the L$ in "escrow," until the purchase is considered either "delivered" or "failed." If it fails, XStreet returns the funds to your XStreet account.)

I just walked a potential customer through that today, because it was still showing as pending on my sales history. The customer didn't know to check her XStreet account history and honestly, it's not as easy to find it either. Needless to say, the transaction failed.
