Too weird

And a little embarrassing. Suddenly, my avatar, um, needs a bikini wax. Stop laughing. The hair seems to be on the underpants layer. If I put on a tiny thong, the hair goes away. But when I check Edit, Take Off Clothing, there's nothing there. And I have search my inventory for "worn" - nothing.

The effect is only for the skin I normally wear. But when I edit Appearance, the hair doesn't show. The skin is no-mod. I have 2 back-up copies. They have the same effect.

I tried on lots of freebie clothing today. Don't see how that would make a difference.

Not a big deal. I don't bikini wax in RL and I don't need to in SL. Just curious how this could possibly happen. And, yes, I'm sure it wasn't there before today. Is my avatar maturing?! That can't be. She's already 18. Maybe she's tired of waxing. Wait - she's just pixels.

She can't be 18... Second Life isn't even 18!

Oh wait, what's the SL-year equivalent of an RL year? Hmmm, if one year is seven dog years, and cats have nine lives... *counts on her fingers*

Oh, is the hair a part of your skin's texture? If not, then it's probably not your skin.

Have you tried rebaking? (Don't worry, a hot oven for your textures isn't like going for a waxing... ) If that doesn' twork, clear your cache and then rebake again?

One skin I have is kind of the opposite of what most "changeable" ones have. There is hair on the skin itself, and it comes with an underwear layer for a wax job. Any chance you have that sort? Agreed that it's a screwy baking situation, just trying to figure how some would show where there was none before :/

She's an elf, so that makes it even more complicated. Elf years. LOL
