I have heard people talk about boxing items to save space in your inventory. Can someone tell me just how you do this?

First, create a box in an area that allows rezzing, like a public sandbox.
Then, while Editing the box, CHANGE THE NAME from "object" to something you'll remember, like "Halloween Decorations." Then click on the Contents tab of the Edit Object window. Now open your Inventory. You should be able to drag objects directly from your Inventory to the Contents of that object. Now, finish Editing your box, and Take it into Inventory. Done! ![]() _____________________

One thing to be aware of when you box things is permissions. For example, if you have a box full of copiable items, you can store it both in your inventory and simply rez it on your land as a backup. If you have a mix of copiable and non-copiable items in a box, it can be awkward.
Similarly, if you have a box full of trans items, you can give it to an alt to keep. . |
