My eyes are broken

Since the shutdown and then update that I had to install...my eyes are solid black and I can't fix it. My grass and a few other graphics look like I'm looking at under water with my eyes open..blurry and stings a bit.

Could it be my graphics card? (which I am NOT getting a new one for the sake of a game)

Any suggestions would help, thank you!

My eyes turned black a while back. It was just a problem with the particular pair I had. When I wore another pair, all was well. Don't throw them out, they will eventually go back their normal appearance.

As for posting pics, you have to use something like Photobucket or Flickr.

Ok this was happening to me every 4-7 days when i was using First Look Dazzle and happened to me again yesterday when i switched from the newest client back to Dazzle. So i switched back to the newest client and within a couple hours my eyes were good.

The problem also extends to that eye texture UUID because if i put on other eyes i was fine but if i put on other purchased copies of the same eyes, they were black.

This is a very annoying and ugly problem. I've almost considering prim eyes sans twinkle just to avoid the bug.

I have had this happen before. Clearing the cache took care of the problem for me. Hope it works for you as well.

Thanks for the replies in here and in-world. Another set of eyes seem to work fine..guess I wasn't meant to be that oh-so-natural-aqua-shade afterall. And as far as the grass goes, I just adjusted the terrain detail to High and it seemed to work.

Try putting them back on again now that you've replaced them with another pair. I've had solid black eyes before but for me it was just a part of being semi-ruthed.

Ive had this several times in the past.

Wear another set of eyes for a while, then try them again tomorrow. They always have come back for me.

Solid black eyes are seriously creepy, hehe. I hate it when that happens. I always feel like I'm part of the Children of the Corn.

Same thing used to happen to me..I think the textures break jsut like your clothes do sometimes.

This happened to me a while ago... a rebake fixed it.

This happened to me recently; I was really annoyed as they were my "perfect" eyes, the ones I like best which took me forever to find.

However, after a week of wearing another pair I tried the defective ones back on and lo and behold! The asset server had got its act together and they were as good as new.

Clearing cache isn't always a sure fire cure for this one unfortunately. Often combining that with a few complete outfit changes will kick enough over to let the eyes come back, but occasionally it still just takes waiting.
