Hey there fellow sl lifers

Can some one please help me ?. I have built a high prim car and have purchased a powerful car script to make it go but due to sl's 31 prim veichle restriction I understand I will need to make the wheel base of the car seperate so I will need to have the main prim count attached some how. Is there anybody out there with such a script to allow this or know where i could purchase such a script.
Thanks Doc.

Hi Doc, welcome to the forums. :)

I'm no expert on building these types of vehicles, but I do know that you're correct in that the vehicle needs to be in two pieces. One piece you rez, sit on, and drive. That's the piece that will have the car script. The other piece you attach. It's just there to look good.

Assuming that the car you've built is already linked into one object, in order to break it apart into two objects, you have to use the build tools. There is no LSL script that will break up a multi-prim object into two other multi-prim objects.

Rez your car. Unlink it. Select only those prims for the "rez" piece. Link those together. Select all the other prims for the "attach" piece. Link those together. Now you'll have your two objects. You will then have to tweak the sit target for the "rez" piece and the attachment location for the "attach" piece so they line up right and look good.

There's a forum called and dedicated to Building Tips. It's located here:

/8/1.html

If you post there, you may get more knowledgeable responses.

I developed a couple of scripts for high prim vehicles, what you have to do is:

Make a base (less than 31 prims) with the properly vehicle script.
Put attached parts inside car / or it can be rezzed as a whole, but unlinked from the base
When you sit those parts must be attached, that can be done sending messages to those parts.
