Land Auction Question

I have searched high and low, and can't figure this out.

I see, on the map, a purple spot of land. Is that a piece that's in auction?

If so, why can't i find it in the listings?

It's setup to go to auction eventually, but that may literally be over a year.

First, make sure you check both the US$ and L$ listings... for some reason the new auction system makes it really easy to miss things.

Second, they will usually put something up for auction within a few days if you ask them. Submit a support ticket asking about it, and if no response within a day or two, follow up with a live chat. I did that with my neighbor's abandoned parcel, and four days later it was mine.

Ava is right, a support ticket often speeds up the chances of a piece of land being released. Good business practice to do so ... someone may up their tier by buying it, after all.

Plus they know someone who values it will be bidding, so they will probably get a higher price for it. I ended up paying 21 L/m for mine!

I can also be a piece that's *been* auctioned and sold and for some reason still shows as purple on the map. There was a plot in the sim next to mine like that - was bought ages ago but still showed as purple last time I looked.
