Is the password reset broken?

I've had an alt (yes, just one!) for quite a while, but haven't logged into that account in a long time. I decided to see if it still exists, and use it to back up my original creations in case of an accident or something. Anyway the account exists, but the password is being refused. Since I may have changed it and forgot, I used the "lost password" function. I get the email, click the link, and answer a question...and get returned to the main page. Either that or it just reloads the security question page. Did I miss something or is it just something else that's broken?

Did you click the radio button beside the security question you chose to answer? I've known a few people who overlooked that step and the page just sent them back, rather than erroring.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Yes. Yes it is. I've been trying to redeem/reclaim an alt for a while now.

I had a similar experience where it took me a couple of months of back and forth with Support to get the password reset, and then one day it suddenly worked again.

You aren't alone. There's at least one person in-world that I know that is having this issue. They can't file a ticket, because they can't log in. All attempts at password reset (even after clicking the email link and answering the secret question) result in redirection to the home page.

The password reset feature is completly borked. You need to contact support directly to get a password reset. You should be able to log into the support system as a guest using your email address.

Not happy about Linden Labs purchase of XStreet (formerly SLX) and OnRez. Will this mean LL will ban resident run online shoping outlets in favor of their own?
