Legitimate business owners?

Dear God, not another one of those "I pay, therefore I'm better than you" threads!

Seriously, if the fact that basic account holders can do much of the same things that you can as a premium, then why are you paying for your account?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a basic member and spend $100 USD or more, just in the stores. . .not counting tier, etc...So please don't start about basic members not spending any money anywhere.

Most people running businesses already do pay fees, unless they are very, very careful about it.

Maybe they aren't premium members, I have a lot of residents who are basic members on my estate. But they pay $L for the land just the same, and I pay over 100,000 USD annually to Linden Research in tier... so... it's not direct, but yeah I would say they are paying, indirectly if not directly.

If it's purely a question of "payment info on file" ~ that is an interesting question alright.

Can people cash out, without having payment information? Say, build up a million $L, convert it to USD credit and then Paypal it to an otherwise anonymous email address?

I think they can, even if improper identity info is used. Raising a whole host of other sticky issues. Imagine entering Hillary Clinton as your name and address, and then going off to do all sorts of shenanigans...

Or say Linden Research deletes this otherwise largely anonymous, unverified account... can the person with $L 1 million say "no, really, it really *was* me ~ give my money back!" How would they know, especially if your real name was John Smith or something really common?
