Amaranthim,
Wear your AO HUD and right click/Edit it. Once you're in Edit mode you can zoom out the whole screen and see the other HUD if it's off your normal screen size. Then lclick on the offending article while still in Edit and drag it back to a position on screen. Once there you ccan come out of Edit to see it normally, close it and then reattach it to wherever you want. Hope this helps. Good luck ![]() |

Amara....
1. Wear both your AO (or any other HUD) and the problem HUD. 2. Right click on your (visible) AO HUD, select Edit. 3. Then use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom out. The screen will shrink, and things that are outside the normal screen edges will become visible. Zoom out until you can see where the problem HUD is hiding. 4. Right click on the problem HUD and use the Edit arrows to move it back inside the normal screen boundaries. 5. When you close the Edit window, your screen will jump back to its normal appearance, and you will see your new HUD. Do any fine repositioning you want to. _____________________

Amara, if Lindal's tip doesn't work for you, it might be that the HUD was originally saved facing the wrong direction. Rez the HUD inworld and look to see see if only one side is textured (and the rest are transparent), because that might be your problem. If the HUD was saved originally with a transparent side 'facing you' then you won't see it on your screen. Try rezzing it inworld (make a copy first, if you can) and rotating it left or right by 90deg, then re-saving it (add something to the name, to distinguish it from the original), and try wearing the new HUD. If that doesn't work then rez and rotate up or down by 90deg, re-save and try wearing that one.

I've had HUDs attach with the narrow edge rotated to the front on occasion, which can make them more difficult to find...if you see something that just looks like a line when you zoom out as described above, that may be it.

Rezzing it in-world, Taking it, then attaching it from Inventory to a non-HUD attachment point (the Nose, say), detaching it, and then re-attaching it as a HUD should put the root prim back to the default location and rotation for that attachment point. The HUD may have been designed to be rotated from that default rotation, but at least it should be possible to *find* it (possibly with Control-Alt-T to highlight transparent).

Have you also considered that maybe it only comes up when you select 'Snapshot'?

Have you also considered that maybe it only comes up when you select 'Snapshot'? Ooh, good idea. I was also thinking that maybe it is hiding behind an open window. I've had HUDs lurk behind my inventory or communicate windows on occasion. _____________________

I suspect the 'Snapshot' idea is a red hering - I went to SLX to look and it refers to being like the ZHAO HUD. The only thing I can think of is that it says it has a toggle off/on and maybe it's simply invisible in the off state. I'm too tight to lash out the L$75 to see if it works for me. Sorry if that sounds excessively mean but I'm Scottish. lol ![]() |

Sadly- i have no scroll wheel- nor even a mouse.. I am on a laptop. is it transfer? if so send it to someone to do it for you then when you can see it then you can position it you can also try different screen resolutions to see if is off the viewable screen area (and toggle full screen as well) _____________________

Just a FYI, when rezed on the ground, a HuD needs to have its working face on the west side.
So if you face east and rez it on the ground in front of you, you should see the working face, if not it will need to be rotated and re-saved, then wear the the saved copy. I might still be off screen but at least it will be orientated correctly. |

There is a bug with HUDs (not sure whether it's a sim or viewer bug), they tend to get thrown way off the screen after a relog if they use llSetPos or llSetPrimitiveParams, so while reading this I can't help but think it's probably off the edge of the screen
Oh snap, there appears to be a second way to zoom out and view HUDs that are off the edge of the screen: 1. Follow Lindal's instructions up until step 3 where you need a mouse wheel 2. While still selecting the HUD, hold Alt and click on it, and zoom out. W00t, it works just like the mouse wheel method ![]() Using official viewer 1.20.14 _____________________

As an alternative you could try using Torley Linden's free FollowCam, it's available over at his island 'Here' next to the textures area. It's got a variety of camera angles and follow effects. You simply wear it, click your avi's back and up pops the hud.
