Sim FPS and Time Dilation

I have Mystitool set up to show warnings for low sim FPS and time dilation < 0.4 (I think) and also a koi rezzer on my land keeps track of FPS and stops rezzing when it gets too low.

For the last few weeks, both these tools have been warning of very low FPS (like 10 or less) and time dilation of around 0.3 on a regular basis. Mystitool also reports similar figures when I'm travelling around and on 1 sim told me the FPS was 0. Whenever I get these warnings, I am actually experiencing severe lag and in the case of the 0 FPS my av couldn't move at all. I also tend to lose recently purchased items during these times as well.

However, when I get these warnings and then check the stats bar, it blithely informs me that sim FPS is a rock steady 45 and time dilation is 1.0 or occasionally 0.99.

So for the questions .. are the figures on the stats bar at all meaningful? Can Mystitool be trusted to give "objective" reports or is its experience dependent on my client's lag? I'm not even sure if those questions make sense but I'm really trying to find out if the stats bar actually WORKS and why the inworld tools give such different results.

When I watch the stats bar of a sim that's right on the edge of hurting, I see these numbers move around a lot. Sim FPS will be fine for a minute then drop way down then go back up.

If you click on a meter in the stats bar twice, the display will change to show you the last 10-15 seconds worth of data.

When the Mystitool starts complaining, switch the stats bar to that longer display and watch it for a minute.. It may show that there are lag spikes.

TD spikes are indicative of a poorly Sim needing to be rebooted, if you're seeing a TD like that then it's a miracle you're not crashing.

Ideal is 1, most Sims run at .99 in my experience.

I made a simple Time Dilation meter HUD that I tweaked to match the stats display as much as possible EXCEPT it reads less often when the SIM is slow to not contribute to more slowness in any way. ;)

So when it goes into the red, it won't come out even if the sim quickly rebounds (after an AV TPs in) necessarily...

If you watch it when it's in the green or yellow, it'll be within a few % of the stats display, but it took some scripting to get it that way. I'm not surprised other tools don't match as closely as it takes a bit more to get it that way.

Also, mine becomes less accurate when the dilation really drops, but that's intentional to not worsen the problem at all! (And readings then would be delayed anyway obviously...) :)

I find my sim is running at a Dilation of 0.95 mostly dropping to temporary lows of 0.1 once or twice a day.. How can I find out what on earth is causing this.. Are there any lists of "normal" values for script processing time and/or other server side values that can help me find the problem?
