Can others set home to my land?

I live on an island, I own my lot. Is there a way to allow friends and family to set their Home to my lot?

About Land shows myself as the owner, and my group as the Group. Do I need to deed the land to my group to allow group members to set their Home point? Is this even an option on non mainland?

Thanks!

The land must be deeded and the power to set home must be enabled in group options.

If you are on an estate, you may be able to deed it. If not, you will have to re-purchase it for group. Talk to the island owner.

Once the land has been deeded, go into your group options. In the roles, check that the relevant group roles have "Able to set group land to home" set (or something similar, not in-world right now so I can't check).

Just remember, then you won't be able to "hide" from your friends because they will see you are online in the group window ... :)

However, if they join the group for only as long as it takes them to set 'Home', then even if they are no longer in the group, Home will still take them to your land.
SL appears to get the Home position from the avatar's records and does not second guess by checking groups.

So this sort of means:
You can hide, but you can't run :)

Does it have to be deeded? I tried to set the land group to the group I want to allow the rights to but its not working, but it would seem that in theory should do it. What does it mean or rights are you giving if you deed the land to a group?

That depends entirely on how you set up your group roles and abilities. And, yes, it does have to be deeded.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

When I try to deed my land it says something about maintaining sufficient land use credits, and splitting profit among group members. Can I undeed it if I sell the land? And What are Land use credits?

And I just tried deeding it and it wont let me it says not enough land use credits. :/

Basically, most of the rights don't mean anything until you deed the land. They just won't work. See this article for a breakdown of rights that need the land to be deeded and those that just need it "set to group:"
