If it were my logo, I would prefer to use a sans-serif font on the smaller print line.

1. Cuuuute logo. The penguin definitely ties it into Linux, no question.

2. Font. It's a nice slab serif, but why not try somethign a little softer. The hard edge of the font doesn't play well with the penguin.

3. drop islab by a point or two, and bring up System by a couple points. It looks off-balance.

Tux looks all ready for New Caledon! :)

Not sure if "system" even needs to be in the logo, but if it does, its font weight looks a little heavy.

And, from the "context" pages, it's not real obvious what "Islab" is, exactly, so... assuming it's more or less exclusively Linux (not just general "open source";), then Tux should feel at home, but the meaning of "Islab" itself isn't obvious (to me, anyway--not even sure how to "parse" it: is it "I-Slab" or "Is-Lab" or something "ISLAnd"-related?), and so I dunno if the logo is cleverly hinting at that meaning or not. (If so, too clever for me! ;))

I agree with the previous posters. Perhaps a softer, more playful font, the "Islab" logo bolder than the "system", in sans-serif. How about a polar bear instead of a penguin, to avoid associations to Linux? This is only a quick draft:

Would you want an s on the end of system? Islab Systems?
