Well, this sucks!

So the club where I work just went through all the effort to relocate to an Adult-rated private sim. Great! We are ready to re-open for business with our re-launch event, except we're not allowed to advertise our event on the SL Events site - at all!

It seems, even though the sim is flagged as adult, SL Events seems to think the sim is PG, and won't let us post the event (and nobody here is brave enough to try to post the event without the Mature flag set).

Way to go, Linden Labs! Yet another FAIL with regard to the adult content transition!

How long ago did the sim adult flag got set? some things related to grid comunications like map and I guess events can take a bit to trickle down, have the estate owner submit a ticket, congiers tickets usualy get handled pretty fast if it relates to sim preformance, especialy if followed up by a life suport call, they can escalete it to a top priorety ticket if needed.

Hasn't it been this way on Zindra from the beginning, and everybody is posting events as PG with them automatically getting reclassified as Adult because of the region setting? Or did they "fix" that since then? This has been on Blondin's list of stuff to get done, but http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1205 remains unresolved (and unassigned?!).

Is SL supposed to be different than everybody else?

No.. bumps are okay. This is more like a huge ditch in the middle of the road. One big enough to trap an 18 wheeler in.

After all, LL forced the change. The least they could do is make sure the tools work before they made people change over.

But what we don't know yet is what percentage of changeovers worked. Did 100% fail? 50%? 10%? 1%?

It might have been a spectacularly successful transition except to the one person it didn't work for.

Adult venues cannot post their events in the SL Events page - at least, not without a bizarre and risky workaround. I would not call this a success, unless it was LL's intention to drive adult venues out of business.

I suggest you join the Zindra Alliance ASAP, even though you're on a private Sim, as they have been lobbying over this very issue for months now, and could use another voice. Your interests and theirs are now in line after all.

C'mon. LL pushed you guys off to the corner in Zindra so no one can see you. Do you think they were going to let you advertise yourselves?

It's apparently more than one and LL has had plenty of time to resolve the issue. That makes it more than a "bumpy" transition. Actually, it just makes it one of LL's transitions

Just thought i'd pop in to let you know it's perfectly fine to list events on Adult regions under the PG event type. Since it's in an Adult region, the results will only turn up under Adult searches anyway.

It's not how it *should* work, but it's how it *does* work.. for now.

Awwww, but at least the LL-forced events FAIL, classifieds FAIL, TP/SLURLs updates FAIL, relocate your whole store/club/home FAIL, age-veriification FAIL, customer-relations FAILFAILFAIL, etc. will all be worthwhile so SL can get the 'millions' of potential residents the platform can't handle anyway.

Me iMagines soMeone who Mucked up so Marvellously in Most RL organisations Must expect to be fired, Made redundant or at least asked to resign. Such a person Makes the whole organisation look Most unprofessional and any respectable corporate would hesitate to Mix with such a Mickey Mouse screw-up.

To post your event just make sure you don't click mature and it will say PG but once listed on the event page in world it will automatically go do adult. I had this same problem myself... good luck!
