I am sure many of you who hang out at clubs have seen the different spanking spam that goes around. There are different varieties along the same lines some saying you do something to another person in the room.
Maybe i am in the minority but i really dont like being included in them "" Windsweptgold **** so and so ...." Windsweptgold walks up to ....... and tells him she loves him deeply" are 2 examples. Like blood line its a case where your included no matter what and maybe once is fine but several times and some of the messages are rather crude ( wonders if this will make a place adult). Why cant the makers make them so you have to click on the ones you want included not just everyone who is in the area . Is it so hard to do and is there something out there to stop you being included ?

The content creators can certainly limit them in the manner you suggested. I think the point is, they do it that way on purpose, because people want it like that. There isn't anything you can do to be excluded, other than to not hang around people that do that. All it does is use a sensor to find everyone's name in the area, and then emote spam. I mean.... anyone can manually emote doing something to you. No? It's the same thing.

As soon as I see the "So and so spanked someone's a**" starting in a nightclub, I leave. Same with excessive gesture spam and too many "Hoo's". I enjoy a dancing experience where the ladies dress in gowns and gentlemen in suits or similar attire and the music tends toward the romantic.
I discovered a lovely dance venue last night...Romantic something. I will definitely return. With the glut of nightclubs/dance venues in SL, each of us can find what we prefer.  _____________________

When people manually do it, at least you can see who did it. With these objects, you have to notice the swirlies to see where it's coming from, and there are tricks to help hide them or make them seem like they're not from the owner.
Anyway, everyone knows it's not you, because the text is a different color. (Well, anyone who's not color-challenged can tell.) It's a nuisance that there's no solution to other than social ones. |

if anyone does anything i don't like to me i mute them..friend or not..
i will unmute them later after..when they ask me why i muted them..i just say it right out.. i'm not your spam monkey..don't spank my butt or grab my bewbies or touch me without asking.. i know it sounds silly to some people but i get irritated real easy with people not asking to touch me.. how about i just pick them up with my mysti tool and start spinnng and rezz a toilet in the club and start dunking them head first..see how they like being embarrassed.. i'd get AR'd for griefing for touching them.. _____________________

Unfortunately the place I admin at in SL I cant mute it but we have set rules inplace for it. I don't mind it in moderation and won't say a peep if it's done in that way but once it becomes used 20 times in less than a minute its a bit rediculous.
Also we have rules set in place now about those who talk only in gestures...which i HATE, did I say HATE?..just want to make sure you know I HATE..it. ok sorry lol The thing with both is you can't keep up with the local chat because whatever someone says to you just zips right by. And after a while hearing "nahm nahm nahm" "boing boing" "spank spank" "howwwllllzzzzzz" "ayubbayubba" and all those just gets annoying as hell. Consideration people. |

If it's Windsweptgold all the time, it's not surprising you get spammed continually, you may have to mute yourself Guess i could put on a gag Some dont show who they come from and when i asked someone who did i was told its just fun and not RL so get over it. I am glad i am not the only one who does not like this and i have found one of the HUDs used does allow them to remove ppl from the list to be included . |

I go to dance not to have my backside slapped every two seconds (don't rope me into your roleplay or bad spam). I go to have fun, and to hear music, not "hooooooooo".
