Missing prims and changing textures

Is anyone else finding things like this:-

For some weeks now I've found a renewed interest in SL by trying to make the ground in the sim where my store is a little nicer (the store is in the sky). Part of what I've been doing is slowly building a large castle which is still a work in progress. In the last few days I found the following happen with the castle.

First, the textures were changed on two prims. Then two days later (yesterday), the texture was changed on a different prim, and another prim failed to display for short time even though I couldn't walk through it, so it was there. Today that last prim didn't exist at all and I've had to replace it. None of the prims were/are linked to any others.

Since it started, it's been happening every day or two, as though someone is messing me about, but the only other person who can edit my objects is my alt, and that's me.

Phil- there is an alt uprising in the works- it's all over the Underground...

At the risk of derailing a good candidate for a Friday thread...

Phil, did you try clearing cache? Retexturing and invisible prims are hints that cache is corrupting.

(Prims gone completely missing from the sim would have to be something else, of course.)

ooOOOoooo now that sounds great! If the changes stop happening, I think a ghost has to be something to add - floating around inside the double-skin walls, making wailing sounds

Qie. I didn't even think of clearing my cache and I don't think it will help. I use my alt a lot for doing things on the ground and she is on a different computer - different cache. Each day I saw each of the changes with her first, and then I logged in as me, on the main computer, and saw exactly the same things.

Then I wish they'd stay underground and stop messing with my stuff *on* the ground.
