For those of you on the East side and Central USA, Whole Foods is having a recall of their ground beef. Ecoli scare, some people already sick. The question is, have you bought any.

I haven't bought any and will make sure I don't. E-Coli is a nasty litte bacteria, I shudder everytime I see someone eat a pink in the middle hamburger.

Lots of strains of E. coli are perfectly harmless, it's only a small minority that cause all the problems. Remind you of anything in SL?

What are you people talking about?

There's no E.Coli in Second Life.

And once again I'm glad I'm...

2) vegetarian.

On the other hand, if you were an American who ate meat, you might care in some infinitesimal way about this thread.

I don't see what the fuss is all about. E. Coli is natural and organic too, is it not?

So just cook the ground meat with enough natural, organic heat and you should be fine.

Seriously, I like my beef blood rare - but not when it is ground meat. People handle that stuff in the grinding and packing process and who knows what organisms they have left inside it. Wouldn't touch the stuff unless it is cooked through. (Steaks and roasts and stuff, on the other hand, may have bacteria on the outside, where they can be dealt with, but the insides were protected by the animals' natural and organic immune systems during life and not touched by human hands until you cut into them.)
