No Avatar name, just a nr.

Hi All,

I had something weird happen 2 times already in the last 2 weeks.

On my sim at great heights I have a platform, which is protected by a security orb.
Basicly anything above 2000m gets warned.

So far 2 times already, I seen 'someone' get booted. Not strange at itself, you always have people trying to see what more there might be, but usually you get a warning like "Firstname Lastname entered your land, do you want..."

But in this case it said "60 entered your land" and when I look into the history, I see 60 a few times in there.

Normal residents and even bots and Lindens, all consist of first + last name. So I am puzzled with this.

Is there anyone that knows what this is? or anyone that encountered the same?

What you see is not what you get. There are many ways to hide your surname or the whole name and we know its against the ToS. When your viewer is known by a person there are also more ways to play with this viewer (here the saying "What you see is what you get" == TRUE) So, no matter which viewer you use, you should not bet your last Linden Dollar that the info on your radar is TRUE.

I think you didn't catch the guy and could not open his profile either. That is life, sometimes other are a step further. I don't see a server bug here, would need to ask a server admin but if the name is shown as 60, it could be a group role, a faked name or a story of you

I've had a few times where I have gotten a msg similar from my orb. No full name just a number. They never make it thru the orb tho so I never gave it any thought.

Maybe it's a Secret Agent, man.

Are you using the Emerald viewer? I have noticed that when I upload textures, I get an odd thing in my chat from the radar -- "???,??? has entered draw distance" when I first select upload and the "???,??? has left draw distance" when I click ok/upload/whatever-it-is on the confirmation box. It only happens on single texture uploads, not bulk ones.

yes I do use Emerald. But the build in radar did not pic up anything.
It is still in my orb's log, Connover's land security orb with full sim plugin.
All admins, regardless their viewer, seen the same in the logs. Just the number.

It's just weird. You cannot ban a number on parcel or estate level.
In both cases, I never swaw a thing. Not on minimap, radars or visually on my screen.

What do you mean by admins? People who have access to administrate this orb?

Yes. I added my RL partner and my RL sister. They see the same in the logs.
i am keeping a close eye on the logs. If I see this nr return, I am gonna contact support.
Not much else I can do.
