Is there a way to search for land outside of the Land tab of search in world?
One that might let me use keywords or have better sorting or whatever...? _____________________

I don't know of a way to browse all land, but many of the land businesses have websites with property listings. Ours is at http://listings.solacebeach.com - you can browse by zoning or terrain, and search by square meters, tier, prims, zoning, and/or terrain. Each listing has a picture of either the exact lot, or a typical lot on that sim, so you can get an idea what it looks like before you tp there.

I always just typed in 'residential' in classifieds......Bingo.....tons of land rents & sales will pop.....same if you type 'commercial'. Granted you'll have to weed thru a few un-related ads.....but over all....that can be one of the quick and dirty ways to find all sorts of land. That's been my method every time I've relocated in SL over the past 3 years. I've used the land search once and hated it........never again.

Classifieds just seems to give me estate rentals - rather than land for sale.
I've got 560m left unused from my premium accounts, and it feels like a wasted resource. But I've been searching and searching and searching and all I can find is junk parcels... or parcels split around bad cuts... I suppose I do want a parcel I can use for a shop - but in a decent looking spot. For me, protected land has become a must - after getting used to having it on my home. Ideally water. Ideally I'd search for 'protected beach' or 'protected water access.' - As actual underwater parcels are not what I desire and typically overpriced... I guess I just have to keep hitting next. Its odd that the rest of the search tool in SL allows you to enter terms and search... _____________________
