Every snapshot I take saves as a texture file does anyone know how to fix that?

Are you talking about saving them to your hard drive and re-uploading them? If so, that is correct, all pictures will upload as a Texture, but it does not matter.

yes I am saving to hard drive and uploading them. It was just bugging me that they were doing this but your right it doesn't matter. Thank you

How are you taking your snapshots?
Control Shift S, Control `, or using the menu?
Do you get the snapshot dialog with the options for "send via email", "save to your inventory (L$10)", and "Save to your hard drive"?
What version of SL are you using?

I am running 1.22.11 and I am hitting the snapshots button at the bottom of the screen. A window pops up and i save to harddrive(I get all the other options too0 . Then if I decide I want them I upload them in to sl.

As stated above, if you save them to disk, and upload them, they will come in as textures. I believe you can move them into the snapshot folder. They may not come in exactly like screenshots uploaded directly would.
