When I teleport to a place, I often spin the wrong way

Today I thought I took a teleport wrong and tried it 3 times before I figured out the entrance was behind me.

Why do I sometimes spin the wrong way when I teleport?

Michael Linden once told me we all end up facing North (or something) when we teleport to a landing point. I always hated that folks would end up facing away from my establishment upon landing.

But I am probably completely wrong and some techie will post soon enough and set you straight.

If the land has a landing point set, then when you teleport there by using a landmark, you end up facing in the direction of the coordinates set by the landmark.

So if you own the land where you have a store and a landing point set, just create the landmark closer to the entrance of the store, and your customers, who use that landmark, will end up facing the store.

East. Unless the parcel has a LP, in which case you'll be at the LP facing towards the location you were trying to get to.

What I do is set the LP at the entrance of my store, and hand out landmarks that are a meter or so inside, so people show up at the entrance and facing in towards the store.
