Is Cartel Membership Open?

I tried to join the Cartel and I was told the membership was closed. Has it been reopened yet?

I believe you have to be invited, I think it's always been that way, it's so they only allow the true forum spammers in LOL :)

Membership was 'invitation only' for +/- a week because we were putting something up to a vote. It should be open to join now. Try again, and if there's a problem, come back here.

Actually it has been open for quite a while now. However, I did try and do a search for it recently for a new alt I created and couldn't find it and then tried to join by using my profile and bringing it up that way and there was no "join" button.

Perhaps the recent change of Ownership has something to do with it? I know they stopped sending notices temporarily until the voting for Co-Owner went through and was finished.

I should start doing "Letters From The Cartel Owners" instead of from the Lindens. Except, the Lindens ignore the forums, so I'm unlikely to get caught, whereas, I'd just as soon not be banned from the Hangout. :p

lol - actually, with some of the stuff I've said to Chris, I've found it's pretty tough to get banned!

Garrett Laramide and LittleMe Jewell are now co-owners of the Forum Cartel group, along with Chris Norse.

An announcement went out to the group in-world on Saturday evening via group notice after voting was completed.
