perhaps you have the land donated to group, and that is where the tier is sitting .... but you tried to purchase the land under your name, not group?

All of the land is donated to the group. I sold group land. I guess I still don't have the hang of SL.

Yup, you need to "Buy for Group". Make sure you get three green checks or you'll be tiering up for the month even if you only go over for one minute.
