Hi,my tier was due last week. I sold most of my land before the date and should be at a new lower tier level. I was not aware I had to change my contribution in the group land tab.(Just did it now) Am I going to be charged the old level again next month for land that has been long gone?

Yep, you'll get charged for the max amount of land and/or group contribution you held at any one time during the billing period.

It costs you nothing to contact billing and try to explain your mistake. They might fix it, or you may be stuck with it. If you do nothing, you're definately stuck with it.

Yeah good idea about contacting billing. Might as well try anyway. There should be a big idiot note when you sell group land,for idiots like me.

You have to remember, Rioko, that tier is considered used once it's donated.

I guess I'm not sure which tier fee you're talking about.
 Do you mean the $1-$5L charge for group owned land? or the rent/tier for the plot of land that you either rent or own?_____________________

It didn't even occur to me that I had to change anything else other than the website. The website would not let me lower my tier level,which led me to investigate further,which is how I found out about the group land tab needing to be changed. I investigated too late though.
 Oh well,lesson learned. Luckily it wasn't too expensive of a lesson. |

But I had forgotten to remove the 512 from the first group first, and so SL is charging me for 1024 (and again, it doesn't matter that I never got around to gettting land).
