Anyone missing inventory?

Hello all,
This will be my first post here and (I am sure) the start of an endless cavalcade of dumb questions from me. I apologize in advance......
I had the opportunity to shop the other night but may have received more than the cool glasses I had found. After many purchases I went off to try on stuff, mess with hair, etc......and noticed I had an entire library FULL of items!!! There is furniture, clothing, gestures, landscaping.........endless! Did I somehow get somebody's info? I (at no point) had the option to buy all this stuff and am pretty confused about it.

Although I like presents........what happened?

All avatars have access to the "library" folder which is full of all sorts of basic things like the ones you describe. Is that the folder you found these items in? If so, no worries at all.

Lol! Welcome, World! Yes, it is all yours! It should have been there since you first came into SL, perhaps you just never noticed it?

The "Library" is a special folder managed by the Lindens, where they put stuff they make for everyone to use. You cannot add to it yourself. It has a lot more cool stuff than people know, because in order to use some of it you actually have to copy it up to your own inventory folders. For example, to use a library animation in a gesture, I believe you have to make a copy of it.

LL occasionally slips new goodies into the library. It's a good thing.

I actually have 2 folders that say library now, one with all my great (laughs) stuff and another that is full of all these other items.....
I can try for a screenshot later.....Will not run here at this computer.

Every time I login, I get a diff Inventory # amount, give or take about 3k of things.
Some logins, +3k, next login -3k.
And then there are those still! lonely empty named folders, where the stuff never comes back
