I'm hoping someone can tell me what I am doing wrong! I created a box in order to create the "one prim frame" as an advertising/selling board for my future store. In the content tab I put my creations -- all of which are no transfer, with some being no mod/yes copy and some being yes mod/yes copy...not sure if this makes a difference but I figure too much info is better than not enough! I set the permissions on the object the first time as "copy" for the next owner and then set the "for sale" and clicked contents. The second time I tried "resell/giveaway" for next owner and still had contents clicked for sale. I brought an ALT on to test it and while I can def BUY the darn thing, it also says "Take a copy" if I click "more" on the guide. No matter what I seem to do I can't get the darn "take a copy" permission off the darn box! I even tried just creating a wood box to sell and STILL couldn't get it to go away. Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Are you trying to alter permissions while it is rezzed, or while in inventory?
Rez it first, and change permissions while the item is in-world. Changing permissions while in inventory can really run into strange issues.

Do'H! *smacks head* Ceera you were right! Working in world does the trick, I just need to take permission rights away from the alt! Thank you for your help!!!

Changing permissions while in inventory can really run into strange issues. *bump* Restating the obvious but sometimes people miss it: if a prim is inside of another prim then it's "in inventory" too so don't change permissions on it that way either.

From: Angelique Wickentower Any help at all would be much appreciated! Modify the permissions in inventory if they do not match what is rezzed. It is annoying bug that builders find soon enough with full-perm items. Then anyone that uses llGetObjectDesc() on them gets annoyed at the variant that resets the description on de-rezzing. Oh gods of LL, please grant us the boon of answering our JIRA pleas on those two annoyances.
