Teleport Routing vs. Landmarks

I'm trying to figure out how the Landing Point and Teleport Routing options in land affect the use of Landmarks.

When land has a Landing Point set, will an avatar using a Landmark to teleport to that parcel land at the Landmark coordinates, or the Landing Point coordinates?

Do the different options for Teleport Routing (Blocked/Landing Point/Anywhere) make any difference in determining whether the avatar will land at the Landmark coordinates, or the Landing Point coordinates?

If you have Landing Point set on a parcel, using a landmark to TP to that parcel will land you on the Landing point. If you are already on the parcel then you can use a landmark to TP anywhere on the parcel and you will land at the landmark coordinates. Even with a set landing point, if you send someone a TP from within the parcel they will land at you location on the parcel.

If you have it set to Anywhere and you TP to the parcel you will land at the coordinates of the landmark.

I've never used the Blocked option so don't really know how that works.

It does exactly that, block teleports! On group-owned land, even a group owner with home set there will be nudged out.

I should have added, if you have set a Home Point on the parcel and you TP Home, you will land at your Home Point even if you have a Landing Point set.

Blocked teleport routing simply sends you to the closest open teleport location (be it in the next parcel or in the ocean lol)

It also keeps people from relogging onto that parcel with "Last Location", they'll be dropped off on a neighbouring parcel the same way as if they had just tp'ed to it.

I am reading this to mean that the ONLY way into the parcel is to walk or fly or ride in an object if that is permitted? Why in the world would anyone want to use the block option then if the group owner cannot even TP in?

It doesn't apply to group owners tp'ing to or on the parcel (which means land owners on non-group deeded land are likely exempt too), but does apply to everyone else.

If you want some private time undisturbed and people tend to make a habit of logging off on your land and relogging at last location, or you threw a party earlier, then you can make sure noone turns up all of a sudden without having to turn access restrictions on (which wouldn't apply at +50m AGL anyway).

I never played with "Allow Direct Teleport" on the estate tools so I'm not sure if blocked routing on anything but a landing parcel would be stricter or have the exact same result.

Thank you for the answers. I needed to speak with a commercial landlord about these issues, and I wanted to know what exactly how it worked before I brought it up. These responses helped.
