All day today it takes me a long time to log in. Then when I get in SL my avi never loads. Just the default avi trying to load. I can not walk. No inventory is loaded, no friends or Groups are loaded, they just say ... (waiting)
in the Log Meter.. The Network is RED and I get a message 'Connection ping time is over 600 ms Possible bad connection or file sharing app

and

Connection is dropping over 10% of packets

I have no clue what these messages mean, or what to do about it.

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks

It means you have a very slow network connection to LL's serviers. And you are losing 10% of the data being sent and recieved. The problem could originate almost anywhere between your keyboard and LL's servers. One thing you can do illiminate one point of poor connections is to reboot your router and/or modem. You can do this by shutting down your computer and unplugging those devices from the electrical source and leaving them unplugged for a couple mintues ( think the recommended time is 3 mins). The plug everything back in and wait for the indicaters lights to settle down and boot your computer back up and try SL again.

Hopefully, that's all your problem is.
